I've had my subscription for awhile and there are scents that I love and then there are scents I could do without. This one is one I loved and would absolutely recommend trying; it has a very warm and earthy scent. I feel more sophisticated when wearing it and usually wear it when I go to work.

On cold sniff, reminiscent of the original Lolita Lempika. While it does have a slightly powdery accord, it's more frizzy vs. "mature." Many scents in this category tend to have that powdery dry down which I don't care for, but this one is lovely. Definitely need to reapply.

Smells very nice. I was hoping to get a more 'caramel' syrupy heavy dry down, but it didn't turn out that way on my skin. It is very sweet, but more fruity sweet than a 'cake' sweet. Still, it is a crowd pleaser for sure!

This is a nice fragrance and I really enjoy it, but occasionally I smell a slight synthetic rose scent that bothers me just a little bit. I'm still testing it, but I think I'm still interested in a full bottle.

Smells like money!

Very unique and different. I live this soon fist smelling it and live it when it dries down as well. It feels like nice fall floral but more mature with the slightest hint of a spice. Defidently fancy and fresh.

I really liked this one. The first spray smelled a bit generic and I was almost disappointed. The dry down was where I really liked it. Its a very VERY subtle gourmand, I think anyone who hates gourmand would like this as well. I wish it had a bit more sillage though, as you have to be close to smell it. It does well with my body chemistry and anyone else who can pull off musk and or sweeter scents.

This is an elegant fragrance. Illicit is a misnomer, though. I wouldn’t say there’s anything risky or illicit about it. It’s safe and pretty. The dry down is nice, especially the honey at the end which is quite comforting.

This is perfect in the beginning but after a minute it's like it turns sour. and of all the scents to stick around this one really lasts and sticks to clothes.

Wasn't a bad fragrance but not the smell I was looking for

The right balance of rich and sweet for me without being overpowering (as long as you don't spray it in your cleavage!). I found it perfect for spraying on my wrists as a single spritz fades nicely throughout the day. The best way to describe it as Quiet Old Money: It knows what it is and doesn't need to announce itself as it just is.

Light refreshing scent

first of all sorry about the vague review I took too long after sampling the perfume to write the so I will do my best to try to help somebody. I did not care for this perfume. I like the woodsy sandalwood vanilla Amber almond gourmand type. So I gave it to my sister for Christmas, and she absolutely loved it! She is more of a Burberry, Burberry weekend type of perfume person. Hopefully this review helps somebody.

A nice, warm, slightly sweet-spicy Fall fragrance. Very vanillic in the die down, which I like. Still not sure if I would get this one again. I love that it's not as bold or potent as some of my other fall/winter warm and spicy scents, but that may also make it too generic and unremarkable for me. Have enough left of my tester to save and try again next fall. Leaning more towards spring scents already this March.

This is a great fragrance, sweet but not childish. Well blended, not harsh at all. Fruity floral with a slight vanilla tinge to it.

To be honest, I expected more from Jimmy Choo. I relate his style with sophistication and elegance. Illicit doesn't represent that ideation. To me, unfortunately, the scent reminds me of the little girl perfumes that come with garish make-up sets that you'd wrap up in bright pink paper for a birthday party. Illicit hours you right between the eyes in a fiery burst of Amber. For me, the headachy feeling lasted until it dried down. It does not sit close to the skin. My spouse (who was in another room altogether) asked: "What the heck did you spray?" Not exactly a ringing endorsement. Illicit may just be "too young" for me. Who knows. Lol. All I can attest to is that my Italian genes don't pair well with illicit. I'll keep it though.... I think my 16 year old daughter would totally wear this scent. So, no harm

Nope. Again not my scent. I wish you guys would send return labels with the perfumes each month. I don't have a printer and having to pay to print it out doesn't seem like a free exchange program, regardless of how little it costs. It still costs gas to go get the form after printing. This is just a gross smell. I have a giant headache now. Idk what the note is that I hate but I'm going to guess it's the Same note as the last perfume I got that I hated that I couldn't exchange due to not having a printer.

This is a very warm fragrance, more for going out. It's not sweet as described, more of a warm powdered amber. I feel it would have been better with less sandalwood or no ginger. I think it is lovely. a bit on the young side but still has an elegance to it. like that cotton candy spray in jr high grew up got its PHD and partys with ruth bader ginsberg.

I like Illicit a lot but it has some spicy tone that keeps me from giving it five stars. I always prefer a clean, fresh & soft scent. I am also extremely allergic to so many perfumes and I had no negative reaction to this one. I will put it in my fragrance rotation. Pleasantly surprised with my first Scentbox!

I did not like it at all. Gave me a headache and I could not get it off fast enough.

The fragrance while pleasant is nothing special. Most disappointing, however, is the very short time it lasts.

At first I thought my body chemistry just didnt work with this scent, but then I sprayed it on a napkin and it smelled the same. It's very sharp and bitter smelling, not getting the notes from the scent description at all...maaayyybe just a hint of honey? but I can't get over the overwhelming bite of citrus rind. Not for me.

Really nice scent - very sweet smelling and a little strong at first, but the dry down is really subtle and nice. I like it for work or everyday, but I don't think I'd wear it for a special occasion.

Favorite fragrance ever.

Very powdery rich smell. At first I hated it but I sprayed it on my arm to let it settle in. The after smell is pretty good but its rich. Not sure how often I would wear it but alright.

I'm really glad I got this one. I don't like florals at all and don't really catch the rose or jasmine in here but what I do is the honey and amber which are two of my favorite notes. The opening is beautiful and the dry-down is nice after 20 minutes or so and isn't really sweet but has a bit of a bite to it that I find really pleasing. Overall I like this a lot and may buy a bottle after trying some others first.

I really like this after it settles in but it's not a "safe" scent. I think it will be somewhat polarizing. I'm not in love with the way it smells when you first apply it. It's really heavy and flowery sweet. after it settles down though it's almost like a spicy caramel smell. I tend to gravitate towards fragrances that have amber notes and this is no exception. I also love the smell of ginger. this is the first perfume I've tried that I know of with ginger notes though. I would like it to last longer. I feel like it doesn't last as long as my Euphoria. I would say in climates that have more distinct seasons this would be a cool weather fragrance. Where I live it's warm 9 months of the year so we pretty much disregard the seasonal thing. I took one star off because I feel like a perfume this heavy should last longer than it does for me.

It’s okay I would not buy it

I bought this for my girlfriend last fall and she absolutely loves it. She wears it mostly in the fall and winter but every now and then she will wear it for a date night. Very sexy and powerful scent that doesn't come thru as a scent your grandma would wear. I like the way it smells on her and in the end, that is all that matters :-)

It’s a little to strong spicy smelling for my taste

I loooovvvveee this scent, this is by far my favorite out of the ones I've received. Lots of vanilla and musk notes which I typically go for. I would definitely say it's more of a fall/ winter scent, it would be too heavy any other time of year.

I thought I would like this because of the amber and sandalwood and because it is supposed to be a gourmand fragrance. But, alas it is sickly, strongly floral. It does smell expensive but is something I see a much more “mature” woman wearing. I like the regular Jimmy Choo version loads better.

At first smell it was a bit hard to distinguish then as it settled you could smell the the Amber and Vanilla it is alluring the longer it stays the sweeter it smells . So far thumbs up.
