The concept of escape is central to the Wonderlust story, Michael Kors told WWD. This story, he elaborated, includes a corresponding ad and video campaign depicting the face of the scent a gold, sequined dress clad Lily Aldridge, in an unknown far-flung locale. She is escaping from a yacht into a small speedboat with her paramour, Dutch model Wouter Peelen, into a rose fueled sunset. As a game on words, Wanderlust which denotes a great wish of traveling is the desire for escape in Kors collection. The campaign was developed by Mario Testino.The composition of the new fragrance was created in partnership with Firmenich by perfumers Honorine Blanc and Aurelien Guichard, as gourmand a synthetic note with edible, sweet qualities. The focus lies on the dianthus flower to give Wonderlust the feel of an almond milk that's been blended with a spicy, creamy floral. Top notes of almond milk are accompanied by heliotrope placed at the hart of the fragrance. The base of the composition provides benzoin, a natural resin from Thailand leaving the impression of warmth, and the spicy sweetness of cinnamon.I wanted something that's feminine, not in an insipid way, but in a streamlined, modern way. It's the same way with the gourmand. The almond milk has something delicious, but not edible or sticky, the designer continued. Looking up the description, it said almond milk and clove dusted cookies w some other notes. It was leaking and pretty strong. Had like an oily feel to it too. This is a gorgeous fragrance! It has a clean very slightly powdery scent to it, mainly at first, but also has a sweetness to it, which makes it feel like it fits in to many different situations. It’s a flirty scent. I just love it and have gotten lots of compliments!

This scent is amazingly wonderful! I don’t smell like an old lady in this perfume. But, the only reason I give a 4 ?? rating, and the reason I won’t buy the full product, is because no one can smell it. I spray a good 3 sprays, and wi5ing minutes, it’s gone. You have to put your face literally on my neck or clothes to smell it.

I’ve noticed with all Michael Kors perfume that initially I love the smell. As with this one at first spray love. Then something happens and the smell blows up in your face and is just soooo strong. And it’s not a bad smell it’s just everywhere. Too much. He should make a line of air fresheners because I feel like one spray will fill up the whole house. Was that mean? Now I feel bad.

Not quite sure why, but this smelled a touch like gardenia on me. Heady sandalwood. Very warm and sensual. Men complimented me all day and night when I first wore this. It can be strong, so 1-2 sprays is sufficient on the neck and/or the wrist. Any more is too intense.

If I could give this scent a negative rating, I would. It induced a migraine after the first spray. It reminds me of the many similar fragrances worn in excess wherever bitter, mid-life women congregate.

I love the way this scent smells in the bottle but it just doesn't mix with my body chemistry or something. I could not get it washed off me fast enough! It smelt great on my mom though so I gave it to her...go figure lol
