Judging by the sample I was given the scent was weak and generic. The smell barely lasted an hour.

This fragrance was the first one that I ordered for my husband -solely chose it based on almost perfect reviews. To my surprise - there were almost no one mentioned that its more of the Unisex smell vs masculine one (my opinion only of course, but I clearly smell some tender, light, feminine notes in it). Maybe since i was too excited about it - my husband , in contrary, wasn't so thrilled! He said "its ok", but he clearly didn't like it the way I did. So, I am keeping it for myself- not for daily use, of course, but I will find the proper occasion for it! Fragrance definitely stays for a few hours, yielding even more gentle smell! Great fragrance!

Not bad by any stretch, but I’m not sure it’s for me. It’s really strong on my nostrils while I’m wearing it - even if I only apply to my arms. Personally, I think it smells like bourgeois Axe with a spritz of orange. So if that’s your thing, by all means, go for it. I could probably admire this one more from a distance.

Great fragrance not my go to scent, but a good scent that inspires confidence, on my skin it seems to last long I have had it on for about 8 hours and my co worker says it still smells great definitely a compliment getter for someone who loves more of a citrus scent that is clean smelling.

Good fragrances but you have to have the looks and the style to rock it and thats it. I will be trying the eua de parfum and the parfum version soon to see the difference between and which one suits me more. Remember this is one the eua de toilette so it's not supposed to be the more long lasting or the strongest scent, it is supposed to be light around but strong and warm and cool close by and honestly good cologne for the fact that it is only the eua de toilette the lowest cost and lowest scent out of all three but it is Very Good. Comparing them all 3 to the eua de toilette it is not as best but by it's self it is so good, and amazing for a low cost, I do recommend to any one looking for another cologne that can worn in any type of weather not season, but weather in the sunny, rainy, etc. I do recommend.

Maybe because its soooo strong? I came to the reviews to see if anyone else experienced it? Pros: SILAGE (ITS STRONG & LINGERS) it is pleasant but super intoxicating. I LOVE cologne on men so for me to say that, USE ONE SPRAY. You will be a turn off by using too much, 2 at most if you walk through it.

One of the two most popular colognes that I have (the other being Polo), Sauvage is a great scent that is masculine and long-lasting. My 4-star rating is influenced by two factors - 1. this is a very popular cologne and the chances of standing out in a crowd are slim and, 2. the scent is strong and I quickly learned that a more conservative application is needed. This is categorized as a summer cologne but I think of it more as a Fall/Winter fragrance. That said, I would recommend this as a foundation for any cologne collection.

Rose to the top of my favorite fragrances, literally smells amazing. My lady loved it and cant stop smelling it on me

So sexy!!!

My four stars is mostly for longevity. My thoughts are very mixed on this fragrance. The hype on it is big but it’s not my favorite by any means. I believe that certain people will either love this or hate it. At first smell it has a sweetness to it that punches you in the face but then a very obvious spicyness pops through. The spice part of it is what I don’t like to much. My wife isn’t crazy about it either. I asked her to rate it and she gave it like a 4. However it’s a good smell and lasts for a very long time. Longevity here is key for a good scent and it does stand out in a room.

Surprised in how much I enjoy this scent. Put it on at 9AM and it's now 2PM and I can still smell it without any reapplication.

Nice smell, but not my favorite. I like fresh, clean, aquatic scents and this just didn’t fit that bill. Definitely see why others would like it though.

Smells like BRUT aftershave with a little more peppery note

This was my first purchase, I had to exchange it. It didn't smell bad just.... everyone around me told me they thought I smelled like a Principal, asking me if I'm gonna throw them in detention, not a bad fragrance but I work at McDs and that’s just not my cup of tea, the people around me wouldn't rate that as youthful thats for sure.

It’s one of the only colognes that I can wear anytime. It’s one of the fragrances that I enjoyed aware my wife is the smell I enjoy the smell it’s fresh clean with different citrusy Components. It’s my go to cologne

believe the hype.. best smelling fragrance that will drive ladies wild. Eau de Toilette version is the best as it does not over power and will get a lot of compliments.

Great smell but a little too much aerosol in the can, makes it too strong on initial spray. Very happy!

Has a great scent and lasts all day. It's nice to still smell it late into the afternoon. You forget you're wearing it, then BOOM, you catch a whiff. Very pleasant.

Out of the 8 frags I now own, this is the only one that I regret purchasing. It’s not that it’s a bad scent, it’s just that’s it’s extremely common and once you get familiar with it you smell it everywhere because every other guy out there wears it. Played out and basic, and the projection is a bit much for my taste.

First time trying and would definitely add this to my collection. Just a very appealing and classic smell that I could see myself still wearing years down the line. Decent longevity and staying power, I say around the 6 - 8 hour range. Good all year round and anytime of the day, but I prefer wearing it in the evening. You won't be disappointed. Will have to pick up the large bottle sometime down the line.

Super strong as first. It takes about an hour to calm down. Make sure you are prepared to have the room you spray it in to smell for about two hours afterwards. Manly smell, definitely not powdery or soapy

I love this scent. It is definitely a masculine scent. Strong but not over powering. Musky but not too musky if that makes sense. I don’t like heavy musk, this one is perfect.

An excellent frag that is extremely versatile with good sillage for about 3 hours on my skin and strong longevity although I haven't tracked how many hours yet. The top note is a bit synthetic smelling and the mid note is slightly spicy to me. Base note is the star of this frag though as it comes together in a fresh, seductive, masculine, and sweet way. This is definitely one of the top performing frags that I have used, I'd say that it performs better than my YSL Y EDP.

This Fragrance is the BOMB! I would've given it five stars, but my only down fall with it is the scent don't stay on you long at all! I would spray it on myself about 5-6 times and after a half hour, I wouldn't smell it at all anymore. But for that first 30 minutes your going to be the man, for whatever that's worth.

Really satisfied with this one. Knew it was very popular and for a good reason. Its a very safe and pleasant scent..fresh, peppery, a bit synthetic but in a good way. I love smelling it on myself and it lasts all day.

My favorite scent

It's only been a few days since I started wearing Sauvage and I am getting lots of compliments by both men and women. Men ask me what the cologne is so they can get it too since they see and hear women complimenting me.

Very bright, fresh scent that is refreshing yet very pleasant on the nose as well. I have received so many compliments on how good I smell while wearing this cologne. The scent lingers for a while which is an added bonus for me!

Excellent fragrance

Not worth the hype. Though by far it is not terrible, I was expecting more a wow factor to this scent, since many have placed it at the top of their list. Even my wife stated it was just ok. It's not midgrade low, but I'd give it 3.5 stars, though I rounded up. I'd say it is a more classy fragrance and would feel it more of a fall fragrance than a spring.

What a wonderful Fragrance, I’m constantly being complemented on the cologne. It’s not overpowering but it’s not settle it’s a combination of both and gets a lot of attention.

Sauvage is just that, Sauvage. I have gotten so many compliments wearing it. The scent is a bit loud at the first spraying, but very quickly evens out. Ladies seem to love it, which is a huge plus! Will be going back in my queue soon!!

Good scent, at this time still getting used to it. This one has been growing on me the more I used it but the first impression was too soapy. Now it smells really fresh and with a lower profile than I assumed by the first impression. Good fragrance, possibly could rate it 5 stars in the future.

SAUVAGE by Christian Dior............I have only one thing to say, amazing!! ??% the real deal. I wear this scent before I hit the gym, after a serious workout ??????? and sweating like an animal for about an hour non stop, can you believe that SAUVAGE is still going strong like I just put the scent on......Dayumnnnnnnn respect, this scent is truly what they named it "SAUVAGE" ??

Very powerful when first applied. Takes a good 30 minutes to calm down. After the initial power comes a great long last smell. One of my favorite scents, but it does give me a headache due to the initial power. If you can handle the first 30-45 minutes, you're golden.

When I first got this fragrance I wasnt a huge fan of it (however I was sick when I received it and couldn't really smell much of anything.) To me it has a very strong soap smell but still smells very fresh. After about a week I'm really starting to like it and can smell more notes. I've received quite a bit of compliments while wearing this fragrance. The day I received it I put one spray on and went out for drinks with a female friend, I told her I was thinking about exchanging the fragrance and she kept telling me how good I smell an to keep the scent. For being an EDT Sauvage has an amazing performance, using just one spray I get about 6+ hours of projection.
