But for the Italian edition of their Cuirs Nomades series, Memo and Alienor Massenet chose the ultimate depiction of the quintessentially Italian la bella vita the leather wrapped steering wheel of a top down cabriolet hugging the curves on a coastal highway, young lovers tucked into the seats, hair whipping in the countryside scented wind, a sumptuous picnic packed into a basket in the backseat.

The first impressions of Italian Leather are fresh and green. Tomato leaf and soft, lightly herbal vanilla, accompanied by a sharp, young leather that invigorates. As the leather matures and mixes with orris root and resinous galbanum, the warm, spicy outdoorsy qualities give off a hint of motor oil and coastal air, leaving us relaxed and excited all at once.

A lot of people love this scent , but to me this is too masculine , so I would say this gears towards men.. as a girl I love sweet and gourmand scents so I am probably not the best person to ask about this scent.

I really enjoyed this. It’s interesting, the sweet, resinous leather paired with very green tomato leaf. Not a juxtaposition you often see. You have to love tomato leaf to love this, and you have to be open to unique combinations. The tomato leaf fades away in the middle and it dries down to a gorgeous vanilla.

I must have smelled Memo's other leather scent in-store, because this one is different than what I remember! I can't tell if I like this scent or not. To me, it leans more masculine than feminine, but becomes more feminine after it has sat for a while. When it's first sprayed, I get a tomato vine note and I definitely smell the sea salt noted in the description, and then it becomes rather smokey. This is definitely only appropriate for fall and winter. It has decent longevity but not what I would expect for a bottle that would be more than $300 full size. Overall, it's just OK, not my favorite scent.

You'll smell like a greenhouse with the tomato leaf for a little while, but after that it settles into a lovely leathery warm vanilla scent. It's peculiar but I absolutely love it!

Reminds me of the smell of taxi cabs in the 90s somewhere in post USSR or arabic countries. It is not for me, but smells like leather, has strong and long lasting complex scent. I think it is more masculine.

No doubt about the leather here. It’s pretty front and center with a surprisingly pleasant and interesting Tomato leaf note. Not a love for me like African leather but very nice.

It starts out with a very herbal note that reminds me of gin, to be honest. It dries down more and you get a faint tomato leaf scent, mixed with a prominent leather note. I have had it on about 4 hours, and I definitely think the description sums it up. It is a lightly herbal vanilla with beautiful, soft leather notes. This is a true unisex scent in my opinion.
